SILENT SOULS

Far, far away, reverently
Where the sky kisses the earth,
Where the sun retires in madness
Painting crimson trails of mirth.

I watch for the unspoken promises
Whom I gave my laughter and smiles,
Till all sounds got sucked up in oblivion
Screaming silences, now a way of life.

I can hear the love bees droning
And the whisper of rushing winds,
They carry the voices of eternity
All I'm left are their faint echoing.

Where is the song of lasting love?
The implosion of birthing stars?
The rustling leaves under hasty feet
Eager to claim my scars?

When the night is scribbling artful words
Of breathless passion and tears,
I ask the eddies my restless questions
But a vacuous quietude is all I hear.
