ON THE BREEZE

A solitary petal shed, forlorn
Groping, to find my way alone,
O stranger wind from the land unknown
Will you be the one to lead me home?

Can you fly me with you
O gentle breeze,
Will you whisper to me
Your mysteries?

Take me up in your arms
And swirl me with care,
On your shallow eddies
And in your tangled hair.

Take me in, O tender breeze
And I'll twirl to your tunes,
And be the fetching fragrance
Wafting on your mystic runes.

Will you be my breeze forevermore
And whistle in my secret nooks,
Where none can feel your breath
But me, and see your doting looks.

Engulf me in your flowing cloak
Hold my hand in your mighty grip,
Hear my caring heart flutter tunes
Watch my faith dance on your fingertips.
